Jacobs’ 4 Step HVAC Installation Process

We’ve been perfecting HVAC installations since 1952

We all rely on our heating and cooling systems to provide trouble-free comfort rain or shine. When it’s time for a new furnace, AC, or heat pump, you want your installer to be as reliable as the system itself. After all, nobody likes dealing with a new HVAC system that has ongoing issues that require multiple service calls to fix. At Jacobs Heating & Air Conditioning our installation process is unique. We plan each detail from beginning to end and double-check our work to ensure every job is done right.

Step 1: Give Us a Call

Whether you need a new system ASAP or you’re thinking seasons ahead, the first step is a quick phone call. We’ve been scheduling installations for nearly 70 years so we know what questions to ask about your heating and cooling needs. Next, we set a date for a Jacobs consultant to come evaluate your home. Jacobs skilled consultants have been working in the industry for 15+ years. They are always friendly and professional. This checklist is a great way to prepare for our consultant’s visit.

Step 2: Choose the Perfect System

Jacobs consultants are trained to determine the right type and size system for your home. Undersized systems struggle to achieve the right temperature. Oversized systems continually turn on and off, wasting energy. At Jacobs we custom fit your system to your space by looking at insulation, ceiling heights, sun exposure, window locations, and electrical panels. We also consider allergy concerns and the number of people and pets in your home. Next we present you with choices, including a good, better, and best option. Then we schedule your installation.

Step 3: We Double-Check Every Detail

Mistakes are a part of life, but they don’t have to be part of your HVAC installation. This extra double-check step sets us apart from other installers. It’s one of the main reasons Jacobs installations are so fast and straightforward — for you and for us. Before your installation date, a supervisor visits your home to confirm your order and make a detailed list of all the measurements and materials we need. We use that list to make custom ductwork fittings for your home in our sheet metal fabrication shop. This additional step ensures we only make one trip to your home on installation day with all the supplies we need.

Step 4: Smooth Sailing on Installation Day

Our goal is to provide stress-free service and reliable HVAC systems that keep customers cozy and happy all year. Your installer will arrive prepared with more than enough materials to complete your installation. We take extra steps to protect your home while we set up your system. In addition to wearing booties, we put down carpet mask to make sure your carpets and floors don’t get stained. Our policy is to leave every home better than we found it. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the comfort your new system brings.
